Surprise! The rain wasn’t so bad over the weekend. Hopefully you got out there an enjoyed it, but if not there’s more chances coming up this week! Here’s hoping the weather stays nice, regardless of what the forecast says.

Tonight at Orenco’s (newly named!) Jerry Willey Plaza there’s Summer Social. There’s free activities for the kids and yoga with wine for the adults, alongside all kinds of other activities.

Tomorrow you can check out the Tuesday Night Marketplace downtown for music, food, and a lot more. This is the first market of the summer; check out the same spot every week until August 29. Be sure to head over to the Civic Center this week for the Hillsboro 2035 Community Celebration; it’s worth checking out if you want to learn more about the future of our city.

The Hillsboro School Board meets on Tuesday night: at 5:15PM there’s a work session and at 7PM there’s a regular session. Here’s the full packet; say hi to use if you attend. If you don’t attend, check out our Twitter feed for live tweets of what happens.

If you live on the east side check out the Kaiser Hospital Farmer’s Market Wednesday between 4 and 7pm. It’s a smaller farmers market hosted by the Kaiser Permanente Westside Hospital, just north of The Streets of Tannasborne.

Finally, on Saturday, it’s National Eat Your Veggies Day at the downtown Hillsboro Farmer’s Market. We’re not sure if that’s a commentary aimed at Father’s Day or not.
